Here we GROW again!
Balloonacy, ltd, LLC is pleased to announce that we have been approved as an FAA Instrument Repair Station for the calibration and minor repair of the Ball Variometers 655 and M55 instruments used in hot air balloons. ...This has been a project that has been quite some time in the making, and we're looking forward to providing this service to the ballooning community!
Our repair form will be available soon on the web site at: balloonacyltd.com/instruments. We ask that all customers complete the form, and forward the form when sending instruments in for calibration and minor repair. There is a service charge for evaluation and diagnostics of instruments submitted for work.

It's been a long, long time coming, but we're very please to be able to make the following announcement:
In an effort to provide better service and support to the ballooning community, Blue Sky Avionics, LLC, of Sioux Falls, SD, long time service and repair station for the Ball Variometer series of balloon instruments, is pleased to announce the transfer of those responsibilities.
Pending FAA approval, calibrations and minor repairs will be performed by Balloonacy, ltd, LLC, FAA Certificated Repair Station SU9R747J, of Fayetteville, Georgia. You may contact Balloonacy thru their web site and e-mail, at instruments@balloonacyltd.com.
Repairs outside the scope of the Balloonacy certificate authorization may be referred to Blue Sky Avionics by the Balloonacy staff, after client concurrence. Customer instruments and components currently at Blue Sky Avionics will be returned to the respective owners within 30 days.
I think it's going to be a busy summer!

Balloonacy, ltd, LLC, d/b/a Parts Authority, was issued a Parts Manufacturing Authority certificate (PQ4173CE) on January 18, 2013, culminating almost a year of coordination between this company and Raven/Aerostar, of Sioux Falls, SD. The staff appreciates the trust placed in this facility’s operations and capabilities, and we look forward to continuing Aerostar’s tradition of customer service to the fleet of Aerostar balloons worldwide.
We ask that our customers and clients understand that, during this transition, we will not have all parts in stock at all times. Additionally, there may be fluctuations in parts prices as we move from “new old stock” transferred from Aerostar to new stock acquired through sources. Remembering that this is a small, family-owned and operated business, we ask for your patience while we move into this new operation. The more lead time we can get on manufactured items (specifically, fuel lines), the better we will be able to meet your delivery and service/inspection time frame.
Balloonacy / Parts Authority is only responsible for those parts that have been delegated to us by our agreement with Raven Aerostar. We will be supplying fuel lines, cable pairs and sets, as well as most consumable items (Templabels, O-rings, seals, hardware, etc.) Under that same agreement, all fabric is handled thru Lindstrand Balloons US (phone 815-777-6006); all sewn assemblies, to include top cap assemblies, skirts and dipper/scoops, as well as deflation straps, are the responsibility of SuperiAire Technologies (phone 505-858-1685).
